AI Zhiyi · Manufacturing document translation

Chinese–English tech pack and drawing translation
Same-page bilingual context, not a detached text dump

AI Zhiyi (AI智译) is a browser-based translation service for foreign-trade and manufacturing documents. It translates Chinese source files into professional English, and English or other supported languages into Simplified Chinese. Its main purpose is to keep translated labels close to the original tables, callouts, sketches, and drawing locations so teams can review them in context.

Two practical translation directions

Chinese → English

For Chinese factories sending specifications, product sheets, or exported engineering drawings to overseas buyers and project teams.

English / supported languages → Chinese

For Chinese sourcing, merchandising, engineering, and production teams reviewing documents received from overseas partners.

Documents and formats

Apparel tech packs

Construction callouts, measurement sheets, materials, trims, BOMs, and production notes.

Exported CAD drawings

Mechanical, electrical, furniture, and equipment drawings exported or plotted to PDF.

Office documents

PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and XLSM files with tables, text boxes, and embedded illustrations.

Scans and images

JPG, PNG, and WebP pages processed with OCR when no usable text layer exists.

Bilingual output

Same-page source and translation, alternating source/target pages, or translated-only output where supported.

Terminology control

A team glossary can lock approved English–Chinese equivalents in either translation direction.

CAD scope: exported pages, not editable native CAD entities

AI Zhiyi does not currently accept or return native DWG/DXF files. Export the sheet to PDF at its intended paper size and preserve vector text when possible. The system translates the visible document page; it does not edit CAD layers, blocks, or drawing geometry.

What remains subject to review

Layout retention is best-effort. Dense callouts, converted outlines, very small vertical text, low-resolution scans, and lines crossing characters can reduce OCR or placement quality. Before a document is used for production, construction, quotation, compliance, or safety decisions, verify dimensions, tolerances, units, part numbers, material grades, revision data, and critical terminology against the source.

Read the processing method and limitations or the file handling policy before uploading sensitive documents.

Frequently asked questions

What translation directions does AI Zhiyi support?

Chinese source documents can be translated into English. English, German, French, Japanese, Korean, and other supported source languages can be translated into Simplified Chinese.

Can it keep the source and translation on the same page?

Yes. Same-page mode places translated text near the corresponding source content whenever the layout has safe space. A paged bilingual mode is also available.

Can AI Zhiyi translate native DWG or DXF files?

Not directly. Export or plot the CAD drawing to PDF first, preferably with vector text preserved. JPG, PNG, and WebP scans are also accepted, but the result is not an editable DWG file.

Which manufacturing documents are suitable?

Typical use cases include apparel tech packs, BOMs, measurement sheets, mechanical or electrical drawing PDFs, product specifications, quotation sheets, and illustrated manuals.

Should technical translations be reviewed by a person?

Yes. Dimensions, tolerances, part numbers, material grades, safety notes, and production terminology should always be checked against the source before release.
